What is Southend Safeguarding (Children's) Partnership?

Local Safeguarding Children's Boards (LSCB)  are all changing to Safeguarding Partnerships as a result of central guidance given in the Working Together to Safeguard Children Document 2018. The new Southend Safeguarding (Children's) Partnership (SSCP) arrangements are available here. SSCP is a multi-agency body with an independent advisor who doesn’t work for any partner directly.

The role of the SSCP is to coordinate what is done by everyone on the SSCP to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in the area, make sure that each organisation acts effectively when they are doing this, and publish policies and procedures for child protection in their area.
